FAMN - Lake Dardanelle Eagle Tour CANCELLED
About this event
Damage to the lock and dam that has left the water level too low for the state park to take their boat out. We will try to reschedule after it is fixed.
The Lake Dardanelle State Park offers free lake cruises all winter long to see their pair of nesting eagles. Other species we will be looking for include American Pelicans, Snow Geese, and more!
*SPOTS ARE LIMITED AND FILL UP FAST. PLEASE CALL THE LDSP VISITOR CENTER TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT AS SOON AS YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE EVENT.* Andrea Peterka has secured 10 seats for us, so let them know that you are part of this group. This doesn't mean that we are limited to 10 guests. There are 20 seats on the boat, but we have 10 guaranteed for our group. If there are still empty seats, more than 10 FAMN members can attend.
Be sure to dress warmly, as we will be out in the elements in the middle of the lake. Bring your own binoculars! Make sure to arrive 15 minutes early, as the boat will leave promptly at 1:00pm.
The tour starts at the boat dock near the Tournament Weigh-In Facility. Turn right in front of the Visitor Center and follow along the water until you see the boat dock.
