Arkansas master naturalist Denise Klinger was one of the featured speakers at the Lions Club's Live and Learn Day on Saturday, November 9, 2019.  Denise led a session on creating healthy habitat for birds and other animals. Birds, bees, butterflies and amphibians are declining, she said, and she offered suggestions on ways to help protect these species. These included tips on feeding, watering and providing shelter and nesting sites. JB Portillo, both a master gardener and a master naturalist, offered a related program with suggestions on native species to plant in area gardens.

Attendees at Live and Learn Day could choose a different class in each of the four sessions, as well as receive a free health screening sponsored by the Lions Club.
